Darryl "Babe" Wilson is Achuma-We on father's side and Atsuge-We on mother's side and a member of the California Pit River tribe. He received his B.A. from the University of California at Davis, and his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. He has worked hard to preserve the oral traditions of Native people, and is the author of essays, short stories and poetry.
