Potawatomi

Wilson is Potawatomi on his father’s side and white on his mother’s side. He is a retired professor of the Native American Studies department at the University of California, Berkeley. While at Berkeley, he started a seminar called “People of Mixed Race Descent” which grew to become a quite popular lecture. He argues that mixed raced people are not “marginal” but they are “ambassadors of both cultures.
