Lighthouses: A Photographic Journey – ipl: Information You Can Trust

Isle of May Low Light

“Anstruther, Scotland, U.K.”

Built: 1844

“Located on the east side of the island, this light is the lower (front) light of a pair of leading lights (range lights). The Isle of May sits 5 miles off the southeast coast of Scotland at the entrance to the Firth of Forth from the North Sea. In addition to this light and the Main Light, the island also houses two large fog signals, but they were discontinued in 1986.”
