Why do I want to become a nurse? Nursing, the one job everyone says that is so fulling, and will change your perspective on the world forever. I wanted to be a nurse since the time I was 10 years old, because I saw what they do for others every day. Becoming a nurse was so important to me because, I wanted to do something in my career that is interesting, challenging, and makes a difference in people's lives on a daily basis. The one person who always told me I can do whatever I wanted in life was my mom. My mom was my number one supporter, and always told everyone how excited she was for me to fulfill my dreams of becoming a nurse. By just showing that little bit of love and compassion towards someone, shows you are there for them throughout their journey. I personally feel when working with someone, you grow a tight bond that you nor your patient will ever forget. You’re the person who comes in that room every day, administer their medicine, and gives them the comfort they need. Their lives are in your hands, so make every word and action count because you never know when their last breath will be. Being a nurse is very challenging and comes with everyday obstacles. An ordinary day of a nurse is filled with enduring hours of physical, mental, and emotional work. A nurse always has to be on their feet and ready to go. They must be ready face the obstacles placed upon them, and make life and death decisions in the snap of a finger. This is not an easy job by any means, and can leave you run-down at the end of the day.
