The animals' rebellion is justifiable because of the negative impacts of capitalism in their farm. During Old Major's speech about their rebellion he says, " We are born, we are given just so much food as will keep the breath in our bodies, and those of us who are capable of it are forced to work to the last atom of our strength; and very instant that our usefulness has come to an end we a re slaughtered with hideous cruelty. No animal in England knows the meaning of happiness or leisure after he is a year old." Old Major implies that their lives are meaningless and exploited. The animals are given the bare minimum food needed to be worked their fullest, and if they were to try get more they would be whipped. The rebellion of the animals is justifiable because the animals were exploited by the humans, Jones is irresponsible for being a lack of support to the animals, sometimes leaving the animals without anything to eat. The animals choice to stand up against the continued relationship between the two is right because the animals should not be forced into an unhappy lifestyle. Moreover Major's speech about rebellion he says," He does not give milk, he does not lay eggs, he is too weak to pull the plough, he cannot run fast enough to catch rabbits. Yet he is lord of all the animals. He sets them to work, he gives back to them the bar minimum that will prevent them from starving, and the rest he keeps for himself." In this quote, Old Major remarks how Mr. Jones although being the leader of the farm he doesn't do anything to benefit the farm, he doesn't help out and yet he is the one to keep everything from what is being produced. The system where the animals work forces them to work out of their limits for Jones to profit. The animals rebellion is justifiable once more, because of the system forced upon the animals. Jones does not sought to help or make it easier for the animals to work in their exploit
In terms of Old Major’s speech, the wise pig announced, “Remove Man from the scene, and the root cause of hunger and overwork is abolished for ever.” (29). With a passionate desire to remove humans from the farm, Old Major exhibits similar characteristics as Lenin’s thinking, especially in relation to aspects of the April Theses. The elderly pig claims that without Mr. Jones, all the farm animals will receive the right amount of food they deserve and the right amount of rest they need. Additionally, with no human to rule them, the animals get all the farmland and peace to themselves.
The universal theme of Animal Farm is the twisting of language transformed into the abusing of power. The animals follow Major’s ideas, but after he dies the animals twist the meaning of his words. As a result, the other animals are unable to oppose the pigs without going against the ideas of rebellion. Following Squealer’s change in the Seven Commandments many times in order to justify the pig’s proposals. The main idea of the farm is “all animals are equal, but certain animals are much more equal than others.”
Animal farm is a novel written by George Orwell and the events of the story took place in a farm located in England and it is called Manor Farm. This farm is owned by a man called Mr.jones, who is known to be very cruel and a heartless man. One night, a boar named Old Major gathered all the animals of the farm together to tell them that he may die soon. Major gave them a speech about how most of their problems are caused by mankind and that they need to stand up for themselves and that they should rebel against their masters .Old Major died soon after the meeting and the other animals prepared for the rebellion.
To further his ideologies, he applies pathos in his speech, emphasizing the anguish the animals endure laboring on the farm. As a part of his speech reads, “Let us face it: our lives are miserable, laborious, and short,” (Orwell 28). By referencing the routine hardships of working on Manor Farm, Old Major reinforces his connection with the other animals. Through this mindset, many of the animals follow Old Major’s proposal of a revolution since many were seeking a more leisurely lifestyle. Hence, the promises of never having to worry about rations or heavy labor compelled the animals.
Things go from bad to worse for the animals of Animal Farm, they labor more hours and are fed fewer rations than in Jones’ time, as well as an unprovoked massacre of their people. By the end of
After Mr. Jones had fallen asleep, all the animals gathered in the farm with Old Major. He began telling the animals that their lives were miserable, laborious, and short. He also goes on and says that they endure cruelty after they turn one-year old, and they do not have any type of time to themselves. Old Major claimed that the animals were being treated as slaves because humans forced the animals to work, and in the end, they would barely give the animals anything in return. He believes that human beings are to blame for the tyranny and the animals should therefore get rid of them (Orwell, 1984).
During Animal Farm, the animals plan to rebel against Mr. Jones. This plan is set in motion after the Old Major unfortunately dies of old age. The animals raise themselves together and kick Mr. Jones off the farm in order to change the way that the system

When the animals took over Jones’s farm, they laid out the
In the novel Old Major represents Karl Marx because Marx came up with a theory that if all working class worked together to overthrow capitalism then they could create their own system where everyone could be equal. Marx believed that the poorer the workers got the richer the producers got, because all they did was take and never gave anything in return. In the book, Old Major states that all men do is take their, eggs, milk, and so on, but they never get anything in return but the bare minimum. They are treated poorly, they do not have good living conditions, and most of the time they are underfed. This is the reason that Old Major encourages the other animals to start rebelling and to fight for their rights and get rid of the cruelty that
There are many possible contributing factors why the animals on the Manor Farm revolted. George Orwell author of Animal Farm, vividly illustrates the grievances the animals had to experiences. The serious grievances that the animals on the Manor Farm had to go through were being underfed, having a laborious workload, and being slaughtered after Mr. Jones finds the animal incapable to work. Orwell illustrates, “The life of an animal is misery and slavery: that is the plain truth” (1).The animals felt that all their hard work was just benefiting Mr. Jones. The animals were tired of living an anguished life.
Once all the animals were there Major began his discussion. He spoke of a world where all animals would be free of the horrors of humans. This is how the revolution of the beasts began. Old Major dies a couple days after his great speech but his ideas live on. This leads the animals to overthrow Mr. Jones the farmer.
He speaks passionately of a life without human tyranny and calls this dream animalism. Unfortunately old Major dies shortly after the meeting but the animals being to plot a rebellion against Jones. The key contributors to these plans are two pigs

Old Major knows that his time is almost up and says that he feels he must tell them all of a dream he has had of a world in which animals are not oppressed by humans.
Mr.Jones let the animals in the farm die of starvation and Nicholas made the lives of millions of Russians worse. The character Old Major form Animal Farm represents V. I. Lenin who was the leader of the Bolshevik Party. They both are alike because they made a system which gave the idea that everyone was equal. Old Major made up the system “Animalism”
