The animals' rebellion is justifiable because of the negative impacts of capitalism in their farm. During Old Major's speech about their rebellion he says, " We are born, we are given just so much food as will keep the breath in our bodies, and those of us who are capable of it are forced to work to the last atom of our strength; and very instant that our usefulness has come to an end we a re slaughtered with hideous cruelty. No animal in England knows the meaning of happiness or leisure after he is a year old." Old Major implies that their lives are meaningless and exploited. The animals are given the bare minimum food needed to be worked their fullest, and if they were to try get more they would be whipped. The rebellion of the animals is justifiable because the animals were exploited by the humans, Jones is irresponsible for being a lack of support to the animals, sometimes leaving the animals without anything to eat. The animals choice to stand up against the continued relationship between the two is right because the animals should not be forced into an unhappy lifestyle. Moreover Major's speech about rebellion he says," He does not give milk, he does not lay eggs, he is too weak to pull the plough, he cannot run fast enough to catch rabbits. Yet he is lord of all the animals. He sets them to work, he gives back to them the bar minimum that will prevent them from starving, and the rest he keeps for himself." In this quote, Old Major remarks how Mr. Jones although being the leader of the farm he doesn't do anything to benefit the farm, he doesn't help out and yet he is the one to keep everything from what is being produced. The system where the animals work forces them to work out of their limits for Jones to profit. The animals rebellion is justifiable once more, because of the system forced upon the animals. Jones does not sought to help or make it easier for the animals to work in their exploit
